New York death metal veterans IMMOLATION just announced the album title & tracklist of their upcoming new album marking the first one for their brandnew label Nuclear Blast Records.

Bassist/vocalist Bruno has left Polish black/death metallers AZARATH in order to "focus on his private life." He has since been replaced by Necrosodom (ANIMA DAMNATA, THUNDERBOLT, THRONEUM).
AZARATH's fourth album, "Praise the Beast", was released earlier in the year via Agonia Records. The effort contains 10 new songs and was made available as a standard CD, LP and limited digipack with a bonus track.
The drum tracks for the follow-up to "Diabolic Impious Evil" were recorded at Radio Gdansk (the same studio where BEHEMOTH recorded "The Apostasy") while the other instruments are being tracked at the Progresja Studio in Warsaw. AZARATH once again worked with engineer Arkadiusz "Malta" Malczewski during the album recordings.
Greek extreme metallers ROTTING CHRIST will release their new album, "Aealo", on February 15 in Europe and February 23 in the U.S. via Season Of Mist. The CD was recorded at Lunatach Studios in Katerini, Greece and will feature guest appearances by Greek-American vocalist Diamanda Galas and PRIMORDIAL frontman Alan A. Nemtheanga.

Finnish folk metallers FINNTROLL will release their new album, "Nifelvind", via Century Media Records on the following dates:

"Nifelvind" was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki, Finland and was mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studios. The album cover artwork was created once again by the band's guitarist Skrymer.

Music-Photocalypse.net attended a listening session for the upcoming FINNTROLL album on September 1, 2009 at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki, Finland. Several songs from the band's long-awaited new CD were played back to the media, including "Solsagan", "Den Frusna Munnen", "Dråp" and "Under Bergets Rot".
KULT OV AZAZEL's December 12, 2009 concert at La Respuesta in San Juan, Puerto Rico was filmed for future DVD release via Arctic Music.
Commented the Florida-based act: "The Puerto Rico show was insane!! It was an honor to make history being the first national black metal band to play the island."
KULT OV AZAZEL's latest album, "Destroying The Sacred", was released in June via Arctic Music. The CD was recorded at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida between October 28, 2008 and November 11, 2008.
Swedish death metal band VOLTURYON entered Black Lounge Studio in Avesta, Sweden this past weekend with producer Jonas Kjellgren (SCAR SYMMETRY, CENTINEX, WORLD BELOW) to begin recording its second album for an early 2010 release. "Everything went really smooth and all drums were recorded," the group states.
The follow-up to 2008's "Blood Cure" will see VOLTURYON "taking [its] music to a new level and develop[ing] [its] sound and style," according to a press release.
Currently unsigned, VOLTURYON has spent the last couple of years playing shows, including at the Sweden Rock Festival in June 2008 where the band performed alongside AT THE GATES and CARCASS, among others.

With their full-length debut, "The Depths Of Inhumanity", currently sending shockwaves through the death metal community, old-school Swedish death metal revivalists FATALIST stepped in front of the camera to begin filming a video for the track "Frozen Epitaph."
Frontman Neil Burkdoll issued the following statement about the video shoot: "We filmed about 4 hours of footage for our FROZEN EPITAPH video this past weekend. We have a lot of editing to do and maybe a few more things to film, but overall it's coming along nicely. We are happy with the footage that we captured, but now the real work begins with making it something anyone would want to watch. We are trying to get it finished for the European release date of "The Depths of Inhumanity" in late January 2010. Wish us luck!!!"
