WARFATHER has released the artwork and track listing for forthcoming sophomore album The Grey Eminence. The album will be released September 16 on Greyhaze Records.
Featuring Steve Tucker (MORBID ANGEL), WARFATHER’s highly anticipated follow-up to debut album Orchestrating the Apocalypse, was produced by Death Metal icon and studio wizard Erik Rutan (HATE ETERNAL, ex-MORBID ANGEL).
The collaboration marks the first time Tucker and Rutan have worked together since MORBID ANGEL’s Gateways to Annihilation. Tucker had this to say about the results:
“I am extremely excited for the release of The Grey Eminence. I feel that this album is one of the best things that I have ever been a part of! Erik Rutan did an amazing job on the production and the songs speak for themselves!”
Producer Erik Rutan (HATE ETERNAL, ex-MORBID ANGEL) added:
“Recording with Steve and the guys on the new Warfather album has been fantastic! It has been a blast to be working on this monster album in the studio once again with my great friend and former band mate. The songs are heavy as hell and just outright awesome. We have some great tones and performances.”
A co-release between Satanath Records with More Hate Productions, the new album "Demonic Inquisition" from Turkish one man death metal band Grotesque Ceremonium is set to be unleashed on June 15th.
The debut full-length release is a concept album about medieval punishment methods performed by demons and Baphomet's evil army against all believers of God. Pre-orders are online here and the track listing is as follows:
SLUDGEHAMMER are proud to unleash their debut full length album 'The Fallen Sun' officially out now as of June 10th. The debut album is the follow up their 2014 EP 'Organ Harvester' and was self-produced by the band plus mixed by guitarist Tyler Williams along with mastering done by world renowned producer & engineer Lasse Lammert (Gloryhammer, Alestorm, Teramaze) at LSD Studio in Germany.
"We're extremely happy to announce that "The Fallen Sun" is available today through bandcamp. Included are 9 brand new tracks that will get any metalhead's blood pumping. We had some fun in the studio and decided to record 2 bonus tracks that are also included on the album. We busted our asses with this one in the winter and we're super excited with how it turned out. Enjoy at high volumes please! Support the underground!" comments guitarist Jeff Wilson.
Southern California's Ghoulgotha have unleashed their second full-length album, To Starve the Cross. The 10-track beast stands as a
masterpiece of atonal and dissonant death metal delivered straight from the warped mind of Wayne Sarantopoulos (Decrepitaph, Encoffination, et. al).
Angry Metal Guy befittingly called the album "ugly music for ugly times," that's "intentionally hard on the ears."
To Starve the Cross was mixed and mastered by Damian Herring at Subterranean Watchtower Studios with artwork by Mattias Frisk. Dark Descent will unleash this monster June 13 on CD and digital formats with vinyl treatment coming soon after.
Austrian extreme metallers BELPHEGOR are hard at work in Abtenau, Salzburg on new material for their currently untitled brand new studio album — the follow-up to "Conjuring The Dead". The new CD will be released in April 2017 via Nuclear Blast.
Comments BELPHEGOR frontman Helmuth: "We've just finished the fourth rehearsal session. The process consisted of 13 exhausting, creative days in a row. Nine compositions took form and already sound massive.
"It's important to me that we get better, tighter, raise the dynamics, and have each musician develop his skills with his instruments to bring our sound to the next level. We've always done our own thing and continue to do so.
"The new, currently untitled album will be our most obscure and brutal one. It's the first time we've tuned our guitars to H5 and #A6, which is really low, and will add a new touch to our sound.
"We're forever on fire and ready for new challenges. Progress is experimentation and improvement. An honor — this horror."
Cult French death metal juggernaut MERCYLESS have released a new free digital single, "Altered Divination" ahead of the October 7 release of their new full-length album, "Pathetic Divinity".
"Altered Divination" features two exclusive tracks: a shortened/edited version of the previously unreleased song "My Name Is Legion", the full-length version of which will appear on "Pathetic Divinity"; and a 2014 live recording of "Substance of Purity", a song from the band's classic 1992 debut, "Abject Offerings".
"My Name Is Legion" was produced at Psykron studio (PUTRID OFFAL) and mastered at Conkrete studio (OTARGOS).
"House Of War", the new video from long-running Canadian metallers INFERNAL MAJESTY, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's upcoming album, "No God", due later in the year. A clip for the CD's title track will be released soon.
INFERNAL MAJESTY vocalist Christopher Bailey commented: "'House Of War' is a prophetic vision into the apocalyptic modernity awaiting human kind.
"We wanted to write a song and make a video that was relevant to the apocalyptic modernity we are marching towards. It is as much an observation as it is a prophetic declaration."
"Time To Run", the new video from Dutch metallers IZEGRIM, can be seen below. The clip was filmed in Belgium in cooperation with Panda Productions under the supervision of Jens de Vos, who has previously helmed videos for ABORTED and EPICA. The song's lyrical theme deals with a deranged murderer brutally killing people at random for no reason.
IZEGRIM vocalist/lyricist Marloes comments: "It represents a stunning and powerful hell-ride into the gruesome depths of my freaky mind. The victims' faces are just pictures on the wall to me."
"Unchain My Soul", the new video from Swedish black metallers DARK FUNERAL, can be seen below. The song is taken from the band's new album, "Where Shadows Forever Reign", which will be released on June 3 via Century Media. The effort was recorded at the Dugout Studios in Uppsala, Sweden and was produced by guitarist Lord Ahriman and Daniel Bergstrand (IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR, BEHEMOTH). The stunning artwork was created by Necrolord (DISSECTION, NECROPHOBIC, EMPEROR).
"Where Shadows Forever Reign" track listing:
01. Unchain My Soul
02. As One We Shall Conquer
03. Beast Above Man
04. As I Ascend
05. Temple Of Ahriman
06. The Eternal Eclipse
07. To Carve Another Wound
08. Nail Them To The Cross
09. Where Shadows Forever Reign
Comments DARK FUNERAL vocalist Heljarmadr: "The lyrics to 'Where Shadows Forever Reign' deal with self-sacrifice. To reach further on my spiritual path, I must give something from myself. Be it material or a piece of my heart and soul, as long as it's something that deeply matters. To truly reach the world of shadows I must summon my inner shadows, my inner darkness and allow no light."
“Into The Cunt Of The Witch” the final album by Blighted is out now from London’s Merdümgiriz Records. After the death of the founding member, the upcoming European summer tour and this album is a farewell by the short-lived band.

Sweden’s notorious and blasphemous Nifelheim has distilled its all-out blackened thrash into a totally destructive new music video for “Devil’s Wrath.” Originally written nearly twenty-five years ago, the song was only recently recorded and appears on the Critical Mass, Vol. 3, compilation alongside contributions by Entrench, Bombs of Hades, Daniel Ekeroth’s Usurpress, Martyrdöd, and others.
U.K.-based hardcore punk legends DISCHARGE have been forced to cancel their U.S. headlining tour, which was scheduled to kick off Saturday, May 28 at the Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore.
"Due to circumstances beyond our control, our visas have been delayed and we are forced to postpone the immediately forthcoming tour dates in North America," states the band. "Fear not, however, as we are working diligently to reschedule these shows as quickly as possible, and we will fulfill all shows. All tickets will be honored. Please stand by as we will announce new performance dates in the next few days!"
Kansas death metal squad, UNMERCIFUL, will drop the devious fruits of their long-awaited new full-length this Summer via Unique Leader Records. Titled Ravenous Impulse, the record features the drum demolition of John Lonstreth (Dim Mak, Origin, ex-Gorguts etc.).
Comments UNMERCIFUL guitarist Clint Appelhanz (ex-Origin) of the band’s forthcoming full-length, “It’s been ten years since the release of Unmercifully Beaten and we’ve had an up and down ride through the years. We are proud to announce the release of Ravenous Impulse to mark a new time for the band. Ravenous Impulse features a collaboration of song writing styles from [bassist] Jeremy [Turner; ex-Origin], [guitarist] Justin [Payne] and myself. Coupled with John Lonstreth’s approach to drums and Kris [Bolton; D.F.W.B.]’s vocal delivery, we feel that our sound is in a new place while still maintaining the band’s identity. Concepts behind most of the lyrical content mainly deal with violent instinct and diabolical human behaviors. We feel these subjects and themes are more realistic and relative to everyday society and more terrifying. Expect a classic death metal sound with modern speed.”
