Recordings of the album took place in the Desert Inn studio, and Jörg Uken made the mixes and mastering at the Soundlodge Studio. Behind the cover is Necromaniac Artworks.

Brutal death metallers from New Jersey - Cognitive reveal details of their upcoming third album "Matricide". The album will be released on October 26 by Unique Leader and, as the label promises, "it shows a band that crosses successive boundaries of intensity, technical chaos, brutal brutality and crushing groove".
Recordings of 10 tracks for "Matricide" took place in the studio Sylar Sound with AJ Viana. Mixes and mastering are the work of Alan Duches from West West Side Music (Six Feet Under, Hate Eternal, Revocation), and the cover was made by Pedro Sena (who worked for, among others, Ingested, Analepsy).

Death/funeral doom legion EVOKEN will unleash its new album, "Hypnagogia", on November 9 via Profound Lore Records. Recorded, mixed and mastered at Sound Spa studios in New Jersey by Steven DeAcutis, the record comes swathed in the artwork of Adam Burke (ARTIFICIAL BRAIN, MOS GENERATOR, HOODED MENACE) and marks the band's first new output in six long years.
Known as one of the founding fathers of the American death/funeral doom metal scene, New Jersey's EVOKEN has been a long-standing pillar over the band's 25-year pillage. The follow-up to their landmark "Atra Mors" full-length, "Hypnagogia" is a towering monolith that develops and redefines the band's sound that will only strengthen their position within the death/doom metal hierarchy where EVOKEN have always reigned.
"Non Serviam: The Official Story Of Rotting Christ", a full-length book created by ROTTING CHRIST frontman Sakis Tolis and Dayal Patterson (author of "Black Metal: Evolution Of The Cult", "The Cult Never Dies Vol. One" and "Into The Abyss"), will be released in late November via Cult Never Dies. The book will contain extensive interviews with Themis Tolis, Jim Mutilator, Morbid, George Tolias, George Emmanuel and members of other bands, including WATAIN, MAYHEM, ENSLAVED, MOONSPELL, BLASPHEMY, MYSTIFIER, SEPTICFLESH, BEHEMOTH, MACABRE OMEN and IMMOLATION.
ROTTING CHRIST recently entered the studio to begin recording its brand new album, to be released in early 2019 via Season Of Mist. The disc is being produced by vocalist Sakis Tolis. Jens Borgen (AMON AMARTH, KREATOR, DIMMU BORGIR, OPETH, KATATONIA) will again take on the job of mixing and mastering.
ROTTING CHRIST's "Their Greatest Spells" was released in March via Season Of Mist. This double-CD compilation features a best-of selection approved by Tolis as well as the new track "I Will Not Serve".
Nuclear Blast has announced the signing of Greek symphonic death metallers SEPTICFLESH to a worldwide deal.

The North West, U.K.-based blackened death metal sextet HECATE ENTHRONED whose "brutal epic scornful metal" has earned extensive acclaim over the past two decades has signed a worldwide recording contract with the American label M-Theory Audio. The group plans to release a new album their sixth full-length, and first in five years in January. More information about the recording will be revealed in the coming months.
Midwest death metal titans JUNGLE ROT have released the Dustin Smith-directed video for the song "Send Forth Oblivion". The track is taken from the band's self-titled album, due out July 20 via Victory Records.
