NILE ''Those Whom The Gods Detest'' (01.02.2010)

Nuclear Blast Records - 2009 - USA

Each Nile album gives me a different taste. Karl Sanders and his team are with us with an another masterpiece after the 2007’s Ithyphallic album. Those Whom the Gods Detest has a creepy part entry ‘Kafir’, that makes you feel frozen. The ritual call to prayer is not a new thing, but the ambience it has created is something life taking! When it has the religious themes on Egypt and the Middle East melodies and Lovecraft’s Cthulhu mythos you can’t help going mad; the background rhythms, the ferocity of the vocals combined with the strong drums of George Kollias like in the Annihilation Of The Wicked album, and undoubtedly became one of the best album of the year. The album with the Nuclear Blast label, has produced by the Neil Kernon from Slayer and Cannibal Corpse. The album is something that definitely not to be missed!
